Chumpon Information
Chumphon Province is located on the Gulf of Thailand, which is topographically the narrowest part of the Malay Peninsula with 40 kilometers of coastline. Thus, the land route between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean is shortest here.
To the south and east are extensive orchards. In the higher areas of the west are some ore mines and mostly unexplored caves and grottos.
Chumphon has a 222-kilometer coastline accompanied by numerous large and small islands and rocky reefs. The white sandy beach is often bordered by small coconut palm forests.
What to do here ?
Chumpon is definitely for nature lovers. Here you will find a lot of islands, national parks and Buddhist temples.
