CLOSEST KITESURFING CENTER TO BANGKOK AIRPORT

Book kitesurfing and SUP lessons. Rent kiteboarding equipment and SUP boards. Buy kites, kiteboards, accessories and beachwear at cheap prices.

Our center is at the Blue Lagoon, a resort 10km outside of Pattaya on the south Jomtien beach.
Our windy season runs from November until March. Pattaya has lots of sun, zero rain during the wind season and the greatest range of activities and nightlife of any tourist coastal town in Thailand.
Pattaya is only 100km south east of Bangkok international airport, making it the easiest coastal town to get to in Thailand.
Our center is free of jet skis and boats, and it isn’t crowded with swimmers, so it’s ideal for kiteboarding.

PATTAYA TEAM

FULLY CATERED RESORT – BLUE LAGOON

Centre Manager MikeHi I am Mike Allen. I opened KBA Pattaya in 2007. I had seen kiteboarding on TV the year before and was instantly hooked. I travelled to Thailand for lessons as it was winter in Australia where I was living at the time and all the schools were closed. Mica who now runs the school on koh panyang taught me on koh samui. After learning I scaled back work and kited as often as I could. I completed my instructor qualification and moved to Thailand to teach on koh samui before moving to pattaya to start up our current school.

Our center is the closest kitesurf center to Bangkok airport. it is the only great place to teach kiteboarding in the local area. we have a big beach and shallow water. our complex is called ‘The Blue Lagoon’ and has a great restaurant, showers/ toilets and a wind surf club. although we are a private club we provide the facility free of charge to all riders however we ask that you remain at least 40m away from any kiteboarders and windsurfers in lessons. we have a free compressor and beach staff to assist during normal operating hours. we provide storage at reasonable rates. WARNING we are a light wind location. winds tend to be between 8 and 15knotts during our wind season, excellent for learning but you need larger equipment if you are coming to ride.

pattaya has a seady reputation and I originally had no desire to reside here but I now consider it a fantastic place to live and I would recommend it as a great place to visit. pattaya has pretty much everything in the name of entertainment you could hope for. while it is a bit hectic jomtien beach is family friendly and our beach on south jomtien is very quiet. nightlife, restaurants, activities, all at the lowest prices of any tourist town in Thailand. these are some of the reasons many foreigners (or felangs as the locals call us) have made pattaya their home. don’t let pattayas reputation put you off. there is something here for everyone. our weekly events include,
free Barbie at the Winchester bar on tuesdays drinks at the sky bar and all you can eat pizza at Frasers eatery on Thursdays free sunday roast at Roja gentlemans club I have lived here 8 years and am still finding new places to eat, drink and hang out.

we have several good hotels walking distance from our kite club including, bannammao hotel B2 hotel, na jomtien Lemon grass I recommend staying in these hotels to make coming to my club each day. if you want to stay closer to the action then jomtien beach is a good option. I can do free pick ups each morning at 10am from soi/street 12 on jomtien beach.

if you are coming to my club then the best option is to tell the taxi driver soi/street 14 beside the ambassador city hotel. many customers have trouble finding my club. grab a taxi and get the driver to call me is the easy way. ph 0851349588. printing out the maps is a great idea.
