“we recommend”

There is a new airport VIP bus service that goes from the main Bangkok airport (Suvarnabhumi) direct to Hua Hin. This Bus station is directly opposite out Kiteboarding Centre. The service is operated daily with 6 departure times. The early buses are often full so advance booking is advised. There is a small extra charge for kite gear/oversized baggage.

From: Level 1 Gate 8 Suvarnabhumi Airport
To: Soi 96/1 Hua Hin

Regular Buses

Buses run to Hua Hin every 30 minutes from the Southern Bus station.

Tip: When you are at the station, do NOT get on the Hua Hin bus that is waiting in line. There will be someone who asks if you want to go to Hua Hin but do not get on this bus (it’s 100 baht, but it’s not aircon, and stops every 2 minutes!). Instead, go to your right into the roofed bus terminal and buy a 128 Baht ticket at the appropriate ticket window. Buses leave from the southern bus station in Bangkok to Hua Hin every 30 minutes.

Minibus (3.5hrs)

There are many Minibuses that go from Bangkok. A large number of them leave from the Victory Monument .
Price: 200 Baht

Tip: You can buy tickets on the street, but prices vary depend on how much the travel agent adds on. If you have kiteboards they may refuse due to not having enough space in the van. Expect a fast journey, with a couple of stops. Just remember which minivan your in, when you stop for a break!

Train (5hrs)

Trains are available from Bangkok and Malaysia, the trains are slow but cheap. Tickets are around 100 Baht. There is room for kiteboarding gear.

From Bangkok leave from Hua Lamphong station.
