Kiteboard Thailand - Destinations - Thailand - Hua Hin

Location and distance (from major city): 3 hours drive south of Bangkok.

Location Summary: Hua Hin is a great place for all levels of kiteboarders. A 5 km long beach makes for great downwinders. This place has the longest windy season in Thailand, from start of November to end of April. The beach is relatively uncrowded and there is plenty of room to lay your kite down. The beach opens up to around 100 metres in width during low tide in the summer months of February to May. 30 or 40 km of beach north and south of Hua Hin also awaits discovery.

Amenities: Hua Hin is fairly built up with all amenities available. They even have the tourist police to catch you if you do anything wrong (and help you of course as well).

Accommodation: All types, from 1 star to 5 star and beyond. Steven Segal has been spotted staying at one of the health spas here.
